Landscape Architecture

Rapid transformational processes in and outside of Europe are changing the face of towns, cities and the countryside. The development of high-quality living spaces and the maintenance of existing urban environment have become a central task. Landscape architecture serves to make the environment more livable and more attractive by preparing it for the future.

In the three-year bachelor’s program, students are taught the professional basics of landscape architecture. They develop the ability to understand and design open spaces. The focus is on the improvement of design skills in combination with the integration of ecology and environmental protection into their design ideas.

The two-year master’s program prepares students for work on an international level by focusing on design and research. The programm is based on the studio concept, which is complemented with additional courses covering cultural topics alongside methodology, aesthetics, urban planning and sociology as well as engineering.
